Authorities say Denver Public Faculties (DPS) disaster counselors met with kids at an elementary college after a 9-year-old scholar killed himself after he was reportedly bullied for being homosexual, the Denver Submit reported.
The Submit reported that the Denver Coroner’s Workplace confirmed Jamel Myles died by suicide on Thursday. DPS spokesman Will Jones stated Jamel was a fourth-grader at Joe Shoemaker Elementary College.

“My little one died due to bullying. My child killed himself,” Leia Pierce, the boy’s mom, advised the Submit on Monday.
Pierce advised the newspaper that her son got here out as homosexual this summer time and commenced sporting pretend fingernails on Aug. 20, the primary day in school. Pierce stated she discovered Jamel’s physique on Thursday and tried unsuccessfully to revive her son.
