A miniature horse that went lacking throughout Japan’s devastating floods final week has been discovered alive and stranded on a roof.

Leaf, a 9-year-old mare used for animal remedy on the Life City Mabi aged care facility within the Mabicho district of Kakehashi, vanished on July 6 alongside along with her colt, Earth, when floodwaters swept by the area on Friday.

Employees needed to launch the pair after torrential rains pressured an evacuation of the power.

The idea was that Leaf, who was acquired from a farm in Osaka, had drowned, however one Life City worker refused to surrender hope.
