IT was a quiet old Monday in the world of racing, but there were still some eye-catching performances around the tracks.
We’ve kept you in the loop in case you missed out on some of today’s action.
Epic performance 🔼
VALSEUR DU GRANVAL (3.55 Ludlow) turned the Boyne Cup into a procession.
The Tom George-trained 10-year-old has been a little disappointing on several occasions during his career.
But he was able to dominate a small but select field in this £21,500 contest and he relished his task.
He jumped like a buck under Paddy Brennan and stretched clear to land the feature by 21 lengths.
Ride of the day 💰
Charles Bishop gave SHORTER SKIRT (1.30 Chelmsford) a cracking ride.
The Eve Johnson Houghton-trained filly was keen and showed signs of inexperience under her classy jockey.
He managed to cajole her alongside the odds-on favourite Fen Breeze before edging ahead in the last strides.
Both horse and rider are on the up.

SHIMMERING DAWN (2.50 Chelmsford) looks a filly with a bright future.
James Tate has his horses in flying form, and this daughter of Morpheus impressed under Oisin Murphy.
She was denied a clear run in the home straight when travelling strongly, but when she saw daylight she took off and won easily.
It looked a strong field on paper and she is worth following.
