The ride-hailing company plans to launch a fleet of aircraft—called Vertical Take-Off and Landing, or VTOL aircraft — with initial flight demonstrations planned for 2020 and full-scale operations targeted for 2023. Frisco Station will be home to one of three Uber Elevate hubs being developed in the area.

“Once Frisco Station is complete, we expect that it will be one of the most-sought after locations along the $5 Billion mile,” said Robert Folzenlogen, senior vice president of development at Hillwood Properties.  “Businesses across the globe are taking a much more holistic view of their operations and recognize that workers are happiest when they are energized by their surroundings. We have incorporated this into Frisco Station and expect it to inspire our residents.”

Frisco Station is part of the city’s $5 Billion Mile, one of the most dynamic development concentrations in America with more than $5 billion in capital investment, either announced or under construction, within a one-mile stretch of road along the Dallas North Tollway.
