For much better or even worse, Alan Ruck will constantly be called the star behind Succession‘s Connor Roy.
As such, it’s tough to view the Hulu minimal series The Dropout without comparing his character,Dr Jay Rosan, to the eldest Roy child. Both of the guys appear to be overcompensating in one method or another, however Ruck just recently informed E! News that there’s a significant distinction in between the 2: “Even though Dr. Jay Rosan may have behaved foolishly, in this particular story nobody called him an idiot, whereas Connor is constantly reminded that he’s just not cutting it—mostly by his siblings.”
In reality, episode 4 of the program is evidence that, unlike Connor, the Walgreens Medical Doctor was appreciated amongst his coworkers. When the handle Amanda Seyfried‘s Elizabeth Holmes almost fails, it’s his character who presses it through to the very end, uninformed that the business was being offered a defective item.
But Ruck does not fault the real-life Rosan, recommending that the medical physician was simply “somebody having a midlife crisis and totally captivated by this young woman and her schemes, which he really wanted to believe we’re true.”
