Alec Baldwin is sharing his recollections from the day that Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins passed away on the New Mexico set.

The 30 Rock star took a seat with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos to talk about the deadly mishap in a brand-new interview airing on ABC Thursday,Dec 2.

In a sneak peek of their conversation, Baldwin is revealed stating that he “didn’t pull the trigger” on the gun prop that eliminated Hutchins and hurt director Joel Souza onOct 21. Baldwin specified, “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger.”

The Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office composed in a news release on the day of the occurrence that the 2 team members “were shot when a prop firearm was discharged by Alec Baldwin.”

According to Stephanopoulos, “it wasn’t in the script for the trigger to be pulled.”

“I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them, never,” Baldwin stated, including that a bullet “wasn’t even supposed to be on the property” where they were shooting in NewMexico

When Stephanopoulos questioned how a “live bullet” was put in the weapon, Baldwin responded, “I have no idea” what occurred.
