The reunion took a minute to bear in mind the Harry Potter cast members who are no longer with us, consisting of Alan Rickman, Helen McCrory, Richard Griffiths and more. Here’s what a few of the cast needed to state about those late icons …
Emma Watson on Richard Harris, who died in 2002: “Richard Harris was such a special, warm person. He was so twinkly.”
Daniel Radcliffe on Richard Griffiths, who died in 2013: “His passing was the one that affected me most, because he was generous with knowledge. He just wanted to share everything with you.”
Tom Felton on Helen McCrory, who died in 2021: “She had actually taught me a lot. [Fighting back tears] See I can’t even state it, um, she had this capability simply to sort of program such compassion in her eyes. It was a genuine reward to deal with her.”
Ralph Fiennes on Alan Rickman, who died in 2016: “Alan was a very dear friend. His final scene—I was a little intimidated by him, his precision, his expert delivery of lines. And we sort of went toe-to-toe in a funny way, you know, Snape and Voldemort. Two actors can relish, metaphorically fencing with each other, Alan was a magician in that way as an actor.”
