ANTHONY JOSHUA has sensationally declared he WILL fight Tyson Fury in 2018 – and beat him using the style of fighting made famous by Mike Tyson.
Fury recently said he will return to boxing in April of 2018 and have three fight in that year.
Fury, 29, tweeted: “Be ready to fight in April 2018 in a great fight! & again in the summer in a mega fight! & again in back end of year. 3 big fights in 2018.”
And Joshua says he will be “getting down and dirty” with Fury next year.
When asked if he will be one of Fury’s three opponents next year Joshua simply said: “Yeah.”
Joshua told Darren Gough on TalkSport: “We speak man.”

He added: “Not like talk – ‘what’s happening mate,’ it’s ‘I’m going to knock you out, trust me’. Me and him will get down and dirty real soon, it’s just fighting talk.
“I’ve managed to contact him – he’s managed to contact me and everything you probably see on social is the same thing that happens behind the scenes.”
IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight champion Joshua says he wants to help Fury get back to boxing as the sport need people like him.
He said: “But besides all that, if there’s anything I can do to help support and help him get back in ring, I would do because we need people like him it brings out the best in the sport, it brings eyes to the sport and it benefits everyone.
“I’m looking forward to him getting back and adding a bit more dust to the storm because he’s talented he’s a good fighter.”
Joshua believes the way to defeat Fury is by adopting a Mike Tyson like style.
He said: “He’s not like the champions we know of, the Mike Tyson – boom-boom-boom head movement – he’s a different animal a different breed, 6ft 9in, rangy, so I think the way to beat Tyson Fury is like a Mike Tyson style, but you need a lot of energy and you need to be fit and strong.
“Because if not he is going to play with you. I think boxing is like chopping down a tree, it takes time, but sooner or later what he does, keep on boxing, keep on chopping, people get disheartened and then after six rounds – seven rounds – eight rounds they lose their heart.
“But you need to have that strength, that mental strength to keep plugging away and I think 12 rounds in a ring with someone with that mindset is a long time.
“That’s why I want to fight him to kind of create that atmosphere in the ring and I think it’ll create a massive atmosphere outside of the ring and should lead to another great night in boxing history.”
Joshua spoke of his last-minute replacement Carlos Takam, saying he will knock him out in the tenth round.
He said: “Takam’s tough. Then, yeah you’ve got to break him down. I think with him I’m going to work him to the body, you’ll see a bit of Riddick Bowe and Holyfield body shots working on the inside because he moves a lot then he slows down and I’m going to sit on his chest whip one in, whip an uppercut, roll it hook and probably show a bit of inside fighting.”
Joshua joked: “Imagine if I get banged out.”
Joshua faces his number three IBF mandatory challenger Carlos Takam in Cardiff on October 28.
