Apple is heading to court next month to combat a 13 billion euro ($14.4 billion) tax expense bied far by the European Union in 2016. Europe’s General Court will hear Apple’s appeal on Sept. 17 and 18, Bloomberg reported Friday.

The case associates with the expense that the EU Competition Commission bought Ireland to recover in August 2016. The commission asserted that the tech giant had an unreasonable benefit that enabled it pay less tax than it need to in Ireland, where its EU head office lie. 

Apple CEO Tim Cook knocked the tax expense as “political crap” and swore to appeal. The United States federal government attempted, however stopped working, to step in. Ireland, which has a tax system that brings in lots of United States tech business to its coasts, likewise disagrees with the EU’s choice and will argue together with Apple in court.

Apple has currently began paying back a few of the cash the EU states it owes. The cash is presently in an escrow account. The business didn’t react to an ask for remark.

The case is among a number of existing appeals versus Europe’s tax choices connected to international business. A spokesperson for the Competition Commission decreased to comment.Â
