Spain’s biggest clubs have been on pre-season tour in the United States with Barcelona due to play Manchester United next before an El Clasico meeting in Miami
NEYMAR has become the latest European football star to meet and greet the United States’ biggest stars.
The Brazilian superstar got a snap with the American singer after their 2-1 win over Juventus at New York’s MetLife Stadium.
The 25-year-old smashed in a pair of superb strikes, including one of his best ever, as he dribbled inside from the flank and stroked the ball past Gianluigi Buffon.
It was a magnificent goal and reminded Barcelona why they need to prioritise keeping Neymar ahead of next season.
But there was only one person he wanted to see after the game and that was 24-year-old pop sensation Lovato.
The pair have been messaging each other on Instagram stories and with flirty references.
And they got the chance for a picture together in the bowels of the MetLife Stadium, home of New York’s two NFL teams, after the game.
Meanwhile Real Madrid followed up their 2-1 penalty shootout defeat to Manchester United with a photo opportunity with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
O’Neal, who stands at a mighty 7ft 1in, starred for the LA Lakers and Miami Heat as he won his quadruple of NBA titles.
No present Real Madrid player can claim to have that many Champions League-winner’s medals, even though Marcelo has won three.
The four-time NBA champ posed for pictures with Marcelo, Mateo Kovacic and keeper Keylor Navas.
Real made a slow start to their pre-season after winning their second Champions League title in a row as they drew 1-1 with United before being beaten on penalties.
The two clubs will meet again in the Uefa Super Cup on August 8 at the Philip II Arena in Skopje.
Meanwhile Barcelona and Real will play out a pre-season Clasico in America’s unofficial Hispanic capital of Miami on Saturday.
