IT’S been a magical week for the Bankers column, with a near £250 profit recorded.
The Flat season’s now getting back into full swing and I sense some more winners on the horizon.
4.00 On The Line – Has improved with every run since the turn of the year and bolted up in a decent race for the grade at Lingfield last time.
Has earned an 8lb rise for that and needs to prove he’s as capable on turf, but he has race fitness on his side and is on the upgrade.
Both jockey and trainer are operating at good strike-rates and can improve their figures now.
2.40 Sunny Destination – First-time cheekpieces worked a treat for the seven-year-old at at this track just over two weeks ago.
Has gone up 5lb for that but he’s still unexposed and is clearly a better horse on a sounder surface (had been running on soft-heavy).
This is a poor race and he can do even better over this longer trip.

4.50 Gainsay – Johnny Portman’s got a great record with his fillies and this one duly struck in fine style returned from a break on the all-weather last time.
He knows how to train a winner at Windsor and provided she can keep the progress going back on turf must have a big chance of following up.
She has race fitness on her side and should improve for her first run back.
