BRITISH UFC star Michael Bisping is being sued for alleged assault after arguing with another gym-goer over a set of weights, before grabbing him by the throat.
The 38-year-old is accused of lashing out in a verbal tirade before choking fellow gym user Antonio Georgakopoulos, who he accused of taking his weights.
According to TMZ, the incident happened in Anaheim, California in July and Bisping – who grew up in Lancashire – was not arrested.
After a “verbal tirade” Georgakopoulos claims Bisping grabbed him by the throat and began to squeeze.
Georgakopoulos says he was then about to lose consciousness when another gym user came along, intervened and managed to separate the pair.
Bisping, 6ft 1in, then allegedly screamed: “Let’s take this outside.”

TAKING THE MIC
Michael Bisping insists he is going to ‘f***ing wipe out’ Georges St-Pierre
Anaheim Police Department have denied that Bisping was arrested for assault and battery, which was originally claimed.
Instead the police took a report and handed the case to the City’s Attorney’s Office, who decided there was not enough evidence to proceed with criminal charges, according to TMZ.
The Englishman, who weighs about 13st 3lb, is due to face Georges St-Pierre in Madison Square Garden on November 4.
Bisping has not fought since last year when he beat Dan Henderson in Manchester.
He has been nursing a number of knee issues, meaning he has not been able to fully straighten the joint and train properly until recent months.
