CHRISTIAN PULISIC has become the USA’s youngest-ever player to reach ten international goals after scoring against Chile last night.
But Chelsea have been left sweating after the ace picked up his second injury in a month, ruling him out of Borussia Dortmund’s upcoming clash with Wolfsburg.
Pulisic signed for the Blues in January for a whopping £58million.
But he was immediately loaned back out to Dortmund for the remainder of the season.
However, Pulisic missed three Bundesliga games with a torn leg muscle last month.
And he was forced off the field with a thigh injury as the USA drew 1-1 with Chile on Tuesday.
It means the winger will miss Saturday’s clash with Wolfsburg, and is in a race to be fit for the upcoming title showdown against Bayern Munich a week later.
Chelsea chiefs are sure to be especially concerned, as the last thing they want is for Pulisic to arrive at the club with an ongoing muscle issue in his leg.
However, it turned out to be an eventful match for Pulisic as he netted his tenth international goal, making him the youngest-ever player to reach that tally for the USA at the age of 20 years and 189 days, beating Jozy Altidore by 148 days.
Pulisic recently made headlines with an outrageous piece of skill to bamboozle Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia in a clash against Ecuador.
But his involvement in the national team could hinder his pre-season in West London, with the USA likely to call him up for the Gold Cup tournament this summer.
