A metropolis official says Chicago is in search of $130,000 from “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett to cowl the prices of the investigation into his reported beating, which police say was staged.
Invoice McCaffrey, a spokesman for town authorities’s authorized division, confirmed the quantity Thursday, hours after Mayor Rahm Emanuel mentioned town would attempt to recoup the cash it spent on the investigation.
