Witnesses are prompted to come forward after the Staffordshire Bull Terrier bit the kid at the Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre in Wrexham, north Wales, on Wednesday afternoon.
The owner of the canine left the scene after the event.
A North Wales Police spokesperson stated: ‘We are appealing for witnesses after a kid was hurt by a pet dog outside the River Island shop in Eagles Meadow at around 1.15pm on Wednesday afternoon.
‘A pet dog bit and dragged the 4-year-old kid, nevertheless luckily it just triggered a small mark.
‘The dog – a black and white Staffy, and it’s owner escaped towards the instructions of Mecca Bingo.’
