The Chinese language authorities mentioned in a press release Wednesday that the taxes could be imposed on August 23.

On Tuesday, the Trump administration unveiled its personal listing of roughly $16 billion value of imports from China that shall be hit with 25% tariffs.
The most recent US tariffs on 279 merchandise, together with bikes, speedometers and antennas, will even take impact August 23.
