Notorious posts picture at the Straight Blast Gym as fight edges closer

CONOR MCGREGOR is already in training to face Floyd Mayweather in what could be the richest fight in history.

The Irishman posted an image of him in training gear at the Straight Blast Gym in Dublin to his 13million Instagram followers – it said simply: “Day 1”.

The 28-year-old’s mega-money fight with Mayweather, 40, appears to be edging closer to confirmation after two major announcements this week.

McGregor revealed on his official website that he had signed a contract on Thursday – although Mayweather is yet to sign – and then on Friday applied for a boxing licence in Nevada.

Training camps usually last around 10 weeks putting a potential date for the super-fight at the end of July.
