ANTHONY JOSHUA insists Conor McGregor went too far with the insults he aimed at Floyd Mayweather.
The world champ is throwing his weight behind pal Money after watching the MMA star accuse him of being illiterate.
McGregor and Mayweather verbally sparred as they went on a worldwide media blitz to promote their Las Vegas showdown.
One exchange saw the Irishman hit Mayweather below the belt by roaring: “What are you doing with a school bag on stage? You can’t even read.”
And AJ claimed he was not impressed with some of the taunts after spending time in boxing legend Mayweather’s gym.
He told Dontae’s Boxing Nation: “I’m Mayweather, I’m a fan of the TMT camp.
“You can’t talk s*** to a champion like that.
“Mayweather has done it from the amateurs, people forget he’s done it from like ground zero.
