DANIEL BRYAN was brutally attacked by Kane on Raw — hinting at a shock in-ring return for the SmackDown Live general manager.
The YES! Man was at Raw to try and calm down his opposite number Kurt Angle after the Shane McMahon-led attack on the Red Brand.
But while in the Olympic Gold medallist’s office, the lights go out before Kane appears with his hand around Bryan’s neck.
The Big Red Machine then seems to chokeslam Bryan, who was forced to retire by WWE doctors in 2015 due to suffering concussion-related seizures.
But the attack could pave the way for Bryan to return to the ring with the Survivor Series pay-per-view just around the corner.
A statement on the WWE website said: “WWE.com has learned that SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan was taken to a local medical facility to undergo further evaluation following a brutal surprise attack by Kane on Monday Night Raw.”
Bryan has been fighting his case to be allowed to wrestle again despite his forced retirement.
The former Ring of Honour star has tweeted that he has been cleared by doctors outside of WWE and can lace his boots back up.
WWE CHAMPIONS The 50 holders of the most famous belt in professional wrestling are rated with a very controversial winner
But WWE have stood firm and not allowed him to compete, which has led to Bryan hinting he could leave Vince McMahon’s company and wrestle on the independent scene.
Bryan’s current contract is up next year and he could return to ROH with the promotion currently thriving with the likes of the Bullet Club there.
