WASHINGTON – Prime Democrats are urging the FBI to analyze a donor to President Donald Trump who’s the founder and onetime proprietor of a spa that has been implicated in a human-trafficking ring.
In a Friday letter to the FBI, Democrats on the Home and Senate judiciary and intelligence panels wrote that reviews about Li Yang “increase severe counterintelligence issues.” Yang’s firm claimed it might present Chinese language shoppers with an opportunity to mingle and take images with Trump, together with entry to his non-public membership in Palm Seaside, Florida.

The Democrats say China has “incessantly used non-traditional intelligence collectors and businesspersons to compromise targets.” They requested for investigations into potential human trafficking, illegal lobbying or marketing campaign finance violations.
