DEONTAY WILDER has furiously hit back at Anthony Joshua following the Brit star’s threat to “ram a jab down his throat”.
Joshua claimed on Monday a clash with Wilder or David Haye was inevitable, despite the American’s own claim that AJ wasn’t ready – emotionally, physically or mentally.
Following the British boxer’s comments, Wilder hit back on Twitter and Instagram, with an angry retort.
Wilder said: “Bro, like what the f*** Anthony Joshua?
“You’re going to soon be ramming your jab down my throat?!
“To be honest, this don’t sound too good unless it’s some next level ish.
“I guess I’ll have to son you and teach you how a champion supposed to talk — so when they hear you, they shall also feel you.
“Next time I’d rather hear how you gonna knock my ass out. Make me smile.”
Wilder’s outburst comes after Joshua revealed he could take on the American or David Haye after his October 28 clash with Kubray Pulev.
AJ said: “We’ve got David Feathers (Haye) and Beyonce (Deontay) Wilder… I had to do it.
“All these guys talk about me all the time and it’s negative, always negative, but sooner or later I’ll be ramming my jab down their throat.
“It’s not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when when it comes to the likes of David Haye and Deontay Wilder because there has been no era of boxing where heavyweights, middleweights, welterweights haven’t come together.
“We have to fight each other and that’s just the way it’s going to go.”
Wilder has already claimed in a video posted to his Twitter: “What the hell is going on in the heavyweight division?
“Make the motherf***er fight then, why you scared?
“Don’t you know, this black don’t crack? I’m not getting old no time soon.
“None of these champions want to lose their record.”
Wilder’s comments came on the back of something Joshua recently claimed, suggesting the American had a head-start in his career.
Joshua said: “I started boxing 2008, Wilder turned pro 2009, so he’s been a pro one year longer than my whole career.
“So you can see why they’re rushing him for certain reasons and you can see why I’m taking my time for certain reasons.”
Wilder has also urged Joshua to fight him in the US… if he wants to become a global star.
The American said: “To be global, you’ve got to make your name in America and Joshua is not as big as people think he is over here.
“The UK is about the size of Texas. One state in my country, where people don’t know who Joshua is for real.
“It will be a great fight, but he is not that popular over here. I had to burst a lot of people’s bubble but he’s not.
“If he wants to be global, he needs to come to America to fight me, but to be honest, I don’t care where it happens.”
Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn wants Joshua to continue his quest to own all the belts in the heavyweight division by taking on WBO champ Joseph Parker next year.
Hearn said: “Joshua wants all the belts. So you’ve got the Parker fight as well, but obviously Parker didn’t look the best last time out.
“It’s a tougher fight to sell now. But it’s still a unification fight and the WBC fight of course.
“The fight I look for Parker is either Joshua in February, March or Tony Bellew, if he beats David Haye, that’s the two fights we’ve got.
“Or Dillian Whyte. But he doesn’t want to fight Whyte, another one who doesn’t want to fight Dillian.”
