‘I’M GOING TO DESTROY HIM’

Heavyweight warriors were involved in an epic battle in December 2016, with Whyte claiming a split decision victory

DERECK CHISORA has called out big rival Dillian Whyte for a rematch after both boxers saw their respective bouts called off.

Now both fighters have the opportunity to set up a rematch to the war they had last December that many labelled ‘the fight of the year”.

Whyte came away with a close points decision, one that Chisora clearly thought the judges had got wrong.

Chisora is keen to start negotiations for a rematch and says this time the fight won’t see the 12th round.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Chisora said: “I’m down for the fight. I’m ready to talk to Eddie Hearn if he wants to.

“I want to do the fight. It’s about Dillian Whyte, if he wants to do the fight.

“Listen, it’s a simple fact, the last fight was great. My belief is he didn’t win it.

“He gets in the ring with me for this second fight, I’m going to destroy him.

“There is no two ways about it, I’m going to destroy him.”

Chisora added: “This fight with Robert Helenius got cancelled but it don’t matter, we move on

Although Whyte had to pull out from his scrap against Wach with a foot injury, Chisora thinks the two heavyweights could still get it on for part II in July.

He said: “This fight (vs Helenius) isn’t happening, so how about we just do this.

“I’m in shape, he’s in shape, we need to do it. I can fight in July.”
