Exiled striker again hits out at Blues boss over failing to meet him face-to-face
DIEGO COSTA has AGAIN hit out at Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
The Blues striker is currently exiled in Brazil because of a text message row earlier this summer that saw Conte tell Costa he has no future at Stamford Bridge.
The 28-year-old is desperate to leave London and return to Atletico Madrid.
But the Blues are playing hardball over the fee and so far Atletico have yet to meet Chelsea’s £50million valuation of the Spanish international.
Costa, who caused Antonio Conte to laugh hysterically at a press conference after claiming he was being treated like a “criminal” by the club, has had a fresh dig at the Italian boss today.
Speaking to MC News, he said: “Conte’s text? It was a moment of madness. It can happen, but I thought it was disrespectful.
“I always asked to speak face to face with the coach and the board. I never sent [them] text messages, so it shows what kind of person he is.
“If something makes me sad about this situation, it’s [the fans’] affection as they’d always supported me, even during the delicate moments.

“If I’d been in the team for three years, it was for them and the dressing room, which was very much united. It was a great experience.”
Last week, the striker, who has been training alone in his hometown of Lagarto, Brazil, revealed he only wants to play for Atletico.
He reiterated that stance.
“I already have in mind where I want to play and I’ve made it very clear.
“[Spain’s] a country with which I identify a lot due to the climate and the people.
“I fell in love with Madrid. We have to wait for the right moment.”
Costa has won two Premier League titles in three seasons since his £32m move to Stamford Bridge in 2014, scoring 59 goals in 120 matches for the Blues.
But the striker has become one of English football’s most divisive and controversial figures and after a row with Conte in January this year, the Italian decided to move on from him.
Costa has refused to return to London – even to clear out his training ground locker.
