A South Carolina lady will get her master’s degree, years after a generous monetary present from Drake assisted move her to success.
In 2018, the rap artist went to the University of Miami and contributed a $50,000 scholarship to undergraduate trainee Destiny Paris James, who wound up starring in his “God’s Plan” video. The now-23-year-old, who is from the city of Denmark, South Carolina, finished in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in public health and went on to significant in the very same topic at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill. This week, she will get her master’s degree, and Drake might not be prouder.
“Mama, I mastered it. Daddy, I did it,” Destiny, whose daddy passed away of cancer simply as she finished her freshman year in Miami, composed on Instagram on Tuesday, May 11. “4 days until I am officially UNC Alum.”
Drake, who follows her on Instagram, discussed her post, that included an image of herself using her graduate school beginning dress curtained over her shoulders while holding her cap.
