An Illinois girl had fairly a shock Wednesday when she opened her washer to discover a snake inside.
“I closed the lid and began screaming,” Sanela Kamencic, from Evanston, Unwell., instructed NBC 5.

“I used to be completely creeped out,” she added. “How did a snake get in the home not to mention the washer?”
The snake was dropped at the Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital by Evanston police and Animal Management Warden Jason Pound.
“I might odor it and will inform that it had truly been by way of a cycle,” Pound instructed NBC 5. “Smelled like Downy.”

Seems, the corn snake — named Penelope — was the escaped pet of a 12-year-old neighbor. Radio station WBBM reported Penelope had been lacking for 3 days.
“Surprisingly the snake seems in fairly fine condition. She’s actually feisty,” veterinarian Dr. Melissa Giese instructed the station.
Penelope and her proprietor have since been reunited.
