Irish UFC star did not get his usual free-flowing run on the microphone as the 49-0 boxing great controlled the show
CONOR MCGREGOR warned Floyd Mayweather he will bounce his head off the canvas during their heated pre-fight press conference in LA on Tuesday.
The pair square off in a boxing ring in Las Vegas on August 26 and are now on a world media to promote the billion-dollar, cross-sport showdown.
The MMA hero and boxing icon exchanged barbs with separate speeches in front of 20,000 fans at their first encounter and their face-off was action packed with trash talk.
Microphones and a touch of lip reading reveals McGregor was shouting: “I’ll bounce your head off the canvas!”
And after the spectacle, McGregor revealed to the media what else was said between the pair.
The UFC star said:”He was trying to say something about the gloves and I was like ‘You cried about the gloves’.
“He cried about the ounces of the gloves. Then he tried to say ‘MMA next, we’ll do’.
“I was like ‘You’re talking s*** about stuff that you won’t do’. Other than that it was just back-and-forth. The usual s****.”
McGregor is used to UFC press conferences where every fighter has a microphone which sparks blazing rows and insults.
But Mayweather’s TV partner Show Time split the audio feeds, meaning Mystic Mac was unable to butt in and argue with the 49-0 legend.
McGregor said: “Yeah, they took the mic off.
“Look, f*** them. F*** Showtime. F*** them all. They can do nothing after August 26.”
“They can try and do all these tricks all they want.
“August 26 this man will be unconscious. He’s too small, he’s too frail. That’s it. What more can I say?”

Mayweather – after bringing back his bad-mouthing ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’ alter-ego for the media scrum – played down the slanging match.
The 40-year-old said: “It was just trash-talking that fighters say to one another.
“Of course, he was saying how good he was. I was like, ‘I don’t have to tell you how good I am. You already know’.
“He was talking about gloves and saying he was going to knock me out. Yeah, that’s what they all say.”
