Facebook on Monday introduced a transfer tool that lets you quickly send your images and video to other online services, beginning with Google Photos. It’s offered in Ireland now, with strategies to roll it out worldwide in the very first half of 2020.

Once the function is offered in your area, it’ll be offered in the Your Facebook Information area of your settings. All the information you transfer is encrypted and you’ll need to enter your password prior to anything is moved, Facebook stated.

The social media network established the tool utilizing code established through its involvement in the open-source Data Transfer Project, which it signed up with in July (in addition to Apple, Google, Microsoft and Twitter), with the goal of offering individuals more control of their online information. That effort was established after the tech giants discovered themselves involved in numerous information personal privacy scandals.
