FedEx is investing a minimum of $2 billion towards sustainable energy efforts, consisting of electrical automobiles and carbon capture research study, as part of a brand-new promise to end up being carbon neutral by 2040, the business revealed Wednesday.

The financial investment is planned to assist develop carbon capture to scale, the business stated, with “an initial focus on helping to offset greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to current airline emissions.”
