Greater than 100 individuals are homeless after a fast-moving fireplace ripped by way of the enterprise district of a New Jersey city, destroying a number of companies.
Firefighters stay on the scene Tuesday hours after the blaze broke out within the basement of a luncheonette in downtown Dover Monday afternoon.
The hearth, fed by pure gasoline, unfold rapidly to surrounding buildings within the city about 48 kilometres west of New York Metropolis.
Nobody was injured, however six companies have been destroyed and two buildings collapsed.
Dover Mayor James Dodd calls it devastating. Dodd says the neighborhood was in the midst of growing the downtown space and the fireplace couldn’t have come at a worse time.
