A video of a fisherman has gone viral displaying him attempting to combat off a shark that was reportedly consuming his fish.

Nicholas Wilks was out fishing along with his father, David Wilks, in Port Pirie, South Australia, when the 10-foot shark swam as much as their boat, Uncover Oceans reported on Instagram. The shark started choosing fish out of their internet because the pair tried to tug it into the boat.

David tried punching the shark to get it to again off, cursing like a sailor, nevertheless it apparently didn’t work and a tug of battle ensued between man and fish.

Finally, David managed to wrestle the web out of the shark’s mouth and the shark swam away.
