For some backstory: The 6th episode of the Saved By the Bell reboot included 2 significant referrals about Selena’s kidney transplant.
In one scene, there are 2 trainees, who are not primary cast members, arguing over Selena’s transplant donor. “I understand for a truth that Selena Gomez’s kidney donor was Justin Bieber‘s mama,” one character mentioned, per a video drawn from the episode and shared online. “God I wish that I had my phone so I could prove it.”
In action, the other character stated, “Prove what? That you’re a moron. It was Demi Lovato‘s kidney. They’re buddies… like you and I were.”
Another scene from the exact same episode revealed primary cast members Alycia Pascual-Peña (Aisha Garcia) and Belmont Cameli (Jamie Spano) having a touching minute. Although the 2 stars didn’t point out the vocalist’s surgical treatment, there was a graffiti wall behind them that appeared to have the message: “Does Selena Gomez even have a kidney?”
