Gal Gadot continues to prove that she is a hero both on and off the screen. During her busy schedule at Comic Con, which included the news of the Wonder Woman sequel, the actor took time out of her schedule to meet fans after her stint on the Justice League panel.

While signing autographs at the San Diego convention, the 32-year-old shared a special moment with a young fan dressed as none other than Wonder Woman herself.

Gal Gadot shows why representation matters

While signing autographs at the San Diego convention, the 32-year-old actor shared a special moment with a young fan dressed as none other than Wonder Woman herself.

The girl became so overwhelmed from meeting her superhero role model, she started to cry when approaching the star. Gadot grabbed the young fan’s hands and flashed her a smile, before sharing some words of encouragement during their short exchange.

“Now we are friends so there’s no reason to cry anymore,” Gadot says in the short video captured by Variety. “We are together!

During the chat, Gadot’s Justice League co-stars, Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa looked on in admiration. Miller and Affleck also comforted the young girl.

“You’re a warrior,” added Miller, 24, after hearing the exchange. “I think the ability to let yourself cry is what makes you such a warrior. Come join the Justice League whenever you get ready!”

Affleck, 44,  who will continue to reprise his role as Batman for the forseeable future added, “Sweet kid”.

The moment is a reminder of the importance of strong female representation on screens.

This year’s Comic Con saw an influx of Wonder Woman cosplayers. No surprise given the female led and directed movie is currently sitting as the third highest grossing Warner Bros. movie of all time.

The next instalment of Justice League is set to come out in November. Though perhaps casting directors have already found their future Wonder Woman should Gadot ever want to hang up her ‘Lasso of Truth’ in years to come.
