That chance is one Donaldson has been ready for all his life.

Donaldson revealed: “There were moments of my life growing up . . . I didn’t do very well in school . . . same old story. It’s a bit of an escape – focus and see if I could make it.
“I’ve had other opportunities but I wanted the right one at the right time and this was too good to turn down.
“It’s what I’ve been training for all these years.”
Chalmers, 30, will have the entire cast of Geordie Shore – past and present – cheering him on in his home city of Newcastle.
He is expecting “phenomenal noise” on his behalf at BAMMA 33, after a frosty reception at Birmingham and a mixed crowd at Wembley.
But Donaldson, who has been slugging it out at amateur level until now, is not fazed.
He said: “That doesn’t bother me. The last few fights I’ve fought away and been booed.
“It’s different because he’s a celebrity but I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m 36 years old, I’ve been in this for a long time.”
Chalmers has started his MMA career with a bang.
He submitted Greg Jenkins in the first round and took just 30 seconds to KO school teacher Alex Thompson in September.
Donaldson reckons he was signed to give the MTV star an easy ride and ensure his 100 per cent win record.
But he reckons Chalmers’ camp have picked the wrong man.
Donaldson said: “Here’s the thing: I’ve had about four fights in the last five months – one was a stoppage and one was a knockout – but I was tired of knocking people out so in the last few fights I was working on my defence, not trying to knock the guy out.
“But they’ve seen that and were looking for someone who couldn’t punch so hard. And in those fights I wasn’t hitting hard. They’re judging me based on that. They don’t know I can hit so hard.
“I’m an aggressive fighter and I’m tough and I’m strong, so I’m going to go in there and let bombs off. I’m 100 per cent going to shock him.”
