Former U.S. president George H.W. Bush’s service canine, Sully, paid tribute to his grasp resting on the ground subsequent to 41st president’s flag-draped casket.
Late Sunday, the Bush household spokesperson shared a photograph on social media of the two-year-old yellow Labrador retriever subsequent to Bush’s casket.
“Mission full,” Jim McGrath tweeted together with the photograph.
Bush acquired Sully in June from America’s VetDogs, a nonprofit group. The president had a type of Parkinson’s illness, and Sully might open doorways, decide up gadgets and summon assist.

“America’s VetDogs is deeply saddened by the lack of President @GeorgeHWBush. Our condolences exit to the Bush household right now,” the group tweeted Saturday.
The group mentioned Sully will likely be becoming a member of Walter Reed Nationwide Army Medical Middle’s facility canine program following his service with the late president.
“He will likely be working alongside fellow VetDogs facility canine SGT Dillon and SGT Truman who’re there to help with bodily and occupational remedy to wounded troopers and energetic responsibility personnel throughout their journey to restoration at Walter Reed Bethesda,” the group mentioned.
Bush died Friday at his house in Houston at 94.
