Samsung stated on Monday that hackers breached its internal business information, accessing to some source codes of Galaxy- branded gadgets like smart devices.

The declaration from the South Korean electronic devices huge follows hacking group Lapsus$ declared over the weekend through its Telegram channel that it has actually taken 190 gigabytes of personal Samsung source code.

Samsung did not call any particular hackers in its declaration nor what exact information was taken.

“We were recently made aware that there was a security breach relating to certain internal company data. Immediately after discovering the incident, we strengthened our security system,” a Samsung representative informed CNBC.

“According to our initial analysis, the breach involves some source codes relating to the operation of Galaxy devices, but does not include the personal information of our consumers or employees.”

Samsung’s customer items such as smart devices and tablets are under the Galaxy brand name.

The business stated it does not expect any effect to its organization or clients.

Lapsus$ is the exact same group that declared obligation for an information breach of chip giant Nvidia last month.
