Arsenal v Bournemouth betting preview – Alexis Sanchez to score first, 4/1
Given what’s been going on at the Emirates so far this season this is the kind of game that Bournemouth will fancy their chances in.
It has been a turbulent time for Arsenal, with some players leaving and others wanting to leave, and as such confidence is low.
I imagine Eddie Howe will set his team out to frustrate the Gunners and hope the crowd gets onto the players and the tension builds.
If the Cherries can hold out for 30 minutes or so the nerves will start kicking in and that could play into Bournemouth’s hands.
However, the transfer window is closed now so the players have to just get on with it and on paper the hosts should have too much class for Howe’s side.
Alexis Sanchez remains in north London and he has no choice now other than to continue what he has been doing and play to the best of his ability.
I’m sure the circus surrounding his future will return in January but for now he has to remain professional and do his talking on the pitch and with that in mind I’m backing him to net the opening goal of the game.
Sun Bets are going top price on all first goalscorers in every Premier League game this season so the Chilean looks a great bet at 4/1.
Should he get that goal nice and early I can see my old side running out 3-1 winners, a score line that looks a good shout at 9/1.

Everton v Tottenham betting preview – Harry Kane to score first, 4/1
This promises to be a great game and it’s the tale of two contrasting international breaks. Spurs saw the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane and Dele Ali pick up some form and confidence during the break, while Wayne Rooney hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Wayne is the king of ‘bouncebackabilty’, however, and this is exactly the kind of game that he will look to use silence the naysayers.
The only way that he can get people onside again is to put on a show so he’ll be bang up for it in front of the Goodison faithful.
Fortunately for Spurs, Kane is now up and running and I can see him going on a long scoring run now. I’d back him to get the opener at 4/1 and I fancy goals in this game so I’m calling a 3-2 away win at 28/1.
Burnley v Crystal Palace betting preview – Christian Benteke to score first, 5/1
Crystal Palace have had a woeful start to the season and while no one is looking for managers to be given the boot, with just three games of the season gone, you have to feel that Frank de Boer will be under pressure if the Eagles lose this one.
He’s brought in Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool and the Frenchman should shore up the defence and bring some much-needed stability but is one man enough to change what’s going on at Selhurst Park?
Burnley’s home from is really impressive and was the key factor in them staying up last year. They’ve got a great record against Palace too so Sean Dyche’s men will smell blood and look to go for the kill.
I think it’s a good time to back Christian Benteke as first goal scorer because Palace have to hit the back of the net sooner or later and he remains the man most likely.
However, With Burnley’s home form being what it is you can’t look past a win for the Clarets and I’ll be having a few quid on 2-1 at 9/1..
