Notorious posted insane workout footage ahead of August 26 showdown
CONOR McGREGOR has sent a sinister warning to rival Floyd Mayweather – quoting Rocky villain Ivan Drago in his latest workout video.
As the pair head towards their Las Vegas showdown on August 26, the war of words is starting to heat up.
And controversial Irish star McGregor has fired the latest shot.
The 28-year-old channelled classic boxing film Rocky for his latest barb against the Money man.
But rather than picking a motivational quote from the Sylvester Stallone’s Italian Stallion, McGregor decided to channel the series’ most notorious villain, Ivan Drago.
Played by Dolph Lundgren in 1985 film Rocky IV, Drago was a hulking Soviet brute, as the series tapped into Cold War fears.
At the start of the film, Drago fights Rocky’s former rival turned friend Apollo Creed, but Creed was no longer at his height and underestimated the young champ.
In a brutal scene, Drago pummels Creed as Rocky begs for him to quit – but he carries on and is battered to a pulp before slumping to the canvas.
The famous quote, which made Drago one of the silver screen’s great villains, has now been taken by McGregor.

McGregor and Mayweather are set to begin their worldwide press tour next week.
The pair will meet face-to-face for the first time in Los Angeles next Tuesday, with fireworks a guarantee.
Hollywood star Stallone has previously backed McGregor to shock Mayweather.
The A-lister said: “I always have the underdog. He’s a real life Rocky.
“But then again I live in fantasy.
“It’s never been done before, so you never know.”
