Jesse Palmer is in on the joke.
The Bachelor‘s 26 th season best onJan 3 was a historical one, as it marked the very first season without long time host Chris Harrison However, Palmer, a previous Bachelor himself, appeared poised and prepared to handle the hosting gig for the ABC hit. In reality, throughout his intro, Palmer apparently satirized his predecessor by playfully calling out a few of Harrison’s preferred expressions.
“The bachelor’s name is Clayton Echard and he is among the most genuine guys that has actually ever been on this program,” he stated to The Bachelor cam. “And I’m ready to do all that I possibly can to help Clayton find his soulmate. Plus, I’ve also spent many hours practicing saying things like, ‘Amazing’ or ‘Incredible.’ Also, ‘Dramatic.’ So maybe, just maybe, IÂ might be able to pull this off.”
While Palmer didn’t precisely name Harrison, the quip was definitely a subtle shout-out to the previous host, as he enjoyed to call each season “the most dramatic season ever.”
