Katie Taylor vs Nina Meinke – WBA lightweight title eliminator, 10×2 rounds
Record: 4-0 (2 )
Height: 5ft 5in
KATIE TAYLOR’S fifth professional fight will be an eliminator for a world-title shot that, in truth, she could have gone for the in her first paid showing.
Forget Ronda Rousey, the Irish Olympic gold medallist has shown the amateur potential to be the best female fighter on the planet.
Once Taylor comes through this with another win on her record, she will fight for the WBA lightweight belt, currently held by Cecilia Comunales (14-1), and is already tipped to take the crown inside six bouts.
Taylor said: “I’ve only been a professional for five months and already been lucky enough to box on some huge events but Wembley Stadium on the Joshua vs Klitschko card is going to be something else again.”
POTENTIAL: Destined to be a world champion and potentially one of history’s best.

NINA MEINKE is a big step in class for Katie Taylor but she should be just another stepping stone for the unbeaten star to her world title.
Meinke won her first in her last fight when she blasted away Hasna Tukic in one round to grab the IBF Youth Super-Featherweight title, so she has pedigree.
The 23-year-old is seven years younger than her opponent so has youth – if nothing else – on her side.
And she might even have some fans in London after starting her career in England as a teenager fighting out of Westway ABC in Scarborough.
POTENTIAL: At 23, a defeat to world-class Taylor will not dent Meinke’s career, she could well learn enough from the Irish star to claim a world title of her own.
