Jussie Smollett Guilty of Making False Police Reports About Attack

Revealed: The Secrets our Clients Used to Earn $3 Billion

The decision remains in for Jussie Smollett‘s criminal trial.

On Thursday,Dec 9, the Cook County Circuit Court revealed a jury discovered the previous Empire star guilty on 5 of the 6 counts of disorderly conduct for making incorrect authorities reports. The 5 charges followed he informed private investigators in January 2019 that he was the victim of a supposed hate criminal activity and battery.

He was discovered not guilty on the 6th count, which implicated him of making an incorrect authorities report that he was a victim of an intensified battery.

Nenye Uche, a lawyer for Smollett, informed press reporters beyond the court house following the decision his group “respectfully disagree” with the jury’s conclusion.

“The verdict is inconsistent. You cannot say Jussie is lying and Jussie is not lying for the same exact incident. So, we feel 100 percent confident that this case will be won on appeal,” Uche stated. “Unfortunately, that’s not a route we wanted but sometimes that’s a route you have to take to win—especially a case where we remain 100 percent confident in our client’s innocence.”
