JUVENTUS prepare to face Lazio in the Coppa Italia final where they could complete the first leg of an incredible Treble.

Only eight teams have managed to win the league, domestic cup and European Cup/Champions League in the same season.

The Bianconeri could wrap up the Serie A title with victory at home to lowly Crotone on Sunday night.



Before travelling to Cardiff where they look to be crowned champions of Europe for only the third time when they face Real Madrid.

Until 2009, only four teams had ever cleaned up in a single season — but that tally has doubled in the past eight years.

Here’s a look back at the European teams who enjoyed the ultimate seasons.

Celtic — 1966-67

Jock Stein’s ‘Lisbon Lions’ were the kings of Europe when they beat Inter Milan at in the Portuguese capital.

Remarkably, the Glasgow giants won the QUADRUPLE that season — the only side to ever manage to do so.

Celtic took home the league title, Scottish FA Cup, Scottish League Cup and European Cup.

What made this achievement even more astonishing was that entire team was born within a 30-mile radius of Glasgow.

Ajax — 1971-72

Total Football pioneers, Ajax, became the second European side to win every trophy available.

Led by John Cruyff on the pitch, the Dutch side beat Den Haag in the Dutch Cup.

In Europe, they beat Inter 2-0 in the final to make it back-to-back European successes.

And they would win the European Cup again in 1973 to make it three on the bounce.

PSV Eindhoven — 1987-88

The Eindhoven outfit have only ever won the European Cup once.

But they made sure it was a season to remember.

Guus Hiddink’s men beat Benfica in Stuttgart to add the European crown to their league and cup wins.

Amazing, PSV didn’t win a single match from the quarter-finals onwards, benefitting  from the away goals rules.

Led by the formidable frontline of Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke, United were successful on all fronts.

They won the Champions League in dramatic fashion with two stoppage-time goals to beat Bayern Munich 2-1.

United pipped Arsenal to the Premier League on the final day of the season.

Ten years later, Barcelona put Spain on the Treble map.

Pep Guardiola created one of the greatest club sides of all times and won absolutely everything in his first season.

As well as the Treble, the Catalans would go on to add the Spanish Super Cup, the European Super Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup to their astonishing 2009 haul.

Two years on, they won La Liga and Champions League again, only to lose to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.

Inter Milan — 2009-10

Jose Mourinho completed the greatest-ever season in Italian history and made winning the Treble a common occurence.

Inter beat Bayern in Madrid 2-0 to win the Champions League.

Samuel Eto’o had joined from Barcelona in the summer and made it back-to-back Trebles.

It had been a dramatic end to the Serie A season, with the Nerazzurri clinching glory on the final day.

Bayern Munich — 2012-13

After a poor start to the season, they rallied to produce some of the best football ever seen.

Led by the incredible front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, they became unstoppable.

Juventus were beaten 3-1 in the Champions League final as Barcelona became the first team to win the Treble twice.
