The IBF welterweight champ will take on the American in Sheffield after years of pestering Eddie Hearn to make it happen
KELL BROOK was only a kid when his uncle pointed to Bramall Lane’s pitch and said: ‘You’ll fight on that one day’.
Tonight, Special K will make that prediction come true when he walks out of the players’ tunnel and into the ring to face undefeated Errol Spence Jr.
The IBF welterweight champ had wondered whether his dream would pass him by after years of pestering promoter Eddie Hearn to make it happen.
But he reckons he should never have had any doubts — because Uncle Johnny does not get them wrong.
Brook, 31, revealed: “When I told him the fight was sealed for Bramall Lane, he just said, ‘I told ya!’
“He’s made a habit of getting it right — he always said I’d fight here, ever since I was young.
“He said I’d be a world champion. He even said I’d win the different national titles as an amateur.
“Then when I won the British title he predicted the right round. Now he’s done it again. His prediction this time?
“He says it’ll be a hard fight but I’ll come out victorious with a decision.”
It will make a change for Brook to be fighting inside the old football ground after watching his fair share of scraps in the stands.

He said: “I used to thrive off the atmosphere when I was a kid. I even saw some trouble when I was stood on the Kop.
“My early memories are coming down here with Uncle Johnny and him throwing me in the air whenever the Blades scored.
“Now it’s my turn to send Errol Spence up in the air.”
Meanwhile, American Spence has revealed how he spent his childhood rooting for one particular Brit.
The southpaw said: “When Lennox Lewis was fighting people like Holyfield, Bowe and big-time Americans everyone would be cheering them and me and my dad would be supporting Lennox.
“I’d be going against the American.”
