LG wishes to include 5G connection to future robotics.

LG is dealing with 5G robotics, partnering with Korean provider SK Telecom for the task. LG is preparing to advertise the cloud-based self-governing robotics, which’ll be linked to SK Telecom’s 5G network. Feature updates for the robotics will be downloaded throughout this network.
They’ll be utilized for identifying problems and patrolling for security 24/7 in centers and storage facilities, the business stated. Quantum cryptography innovation will protect the robotic service.
SK Telecom likewise wishes to utilize its home-made expert system Interference Accelerator and AI cloud for the task, which it stated will “not only improve information-processing performance of robots but also support interconnection among multiple robots.”
LG and SK Telecom are likewise aiming to construct a hyperspace platform they’re calling “eSpace.” Their robotics will reproduce the real life by gathering images and spatial information to construct eSpace, and the business will then charge additional for virtual area services.

As well as already launching a 5G phone, LG has been working on its smart home robot CLOi and a wearable robot for leg support, called the CLOi SuitBot.
LG formed a new robotics division last year, and deployed a suite of cleaning and guide robots at Incheon International Airport back in 2017. It’s also working on robots for restaurants.
