The person who allegedly smashed President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Stroll of Fame in California was charged with vandalism on Monday.

Austin Clay, 24, of Glendale, destroyed Trump’s star on the long-lasting Hollywood Boulevard final month and was charged with one rely of felony vandalism, the Los Angeles County District Lawyer’s Workplace introduced.

Austin Clay, 24, was charged with one rely of felony vandalism on Monday for allegedly smashing President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Stroll of Fame with a pickaxe final month.

Clay used a pickaxe on July 25 to smash the president’s star, which he acquired in January 2007 for his work because the creator and host of NBC’s “The Apprentice,” police stated.

After allegedly smashing the star, Clay “known as police and suggested he had vandalized Donald Trump’s star and mainly known as on himself and stated, ‘See you quickly,'” Lt. Karen Leong, of the LAPD, informed the Los Angeles Occasions.

He reportedly turned himself in on the Beverly Hills Police Division an hour later, the place LAPD officers picked him as much as take him into custody.

Clay faces a most sentence of three years in jail if convicted. He was initially booked on suspicion of felony vandalism and his bail was set at $20,000.
