Johnston’s filly could only manage sixth in the Prix Morny but connections are confident she can get back to her best form after a short break

NYALETI could bid to get back to winning ways in the Shadwell Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket later next month.

“She looks great. I like to think there might have been one or two factors contributing to her not running so well that day and I think she’ll bounce back,” Johnston’s wife and assistant, Deirdre, told At The Races.

“She’s fantastic and was strutting her stuff on Monday morning which was great to see.

“She’ll possibly go for the Rockfel and put her back up to seven furlongs. Hopefully you’ll see her back out there.”


Nyaleti had been set to run in the Lowther Stakes, but Threading went in her place after being supplemented and duly obliged with victory in the Group 2 at York last week and now has Group 1 aims.

“She is a very exciting filly for the future. Let’s hope she goes for the Cheveley Park,” she said.
