IT’S a busy Saturday of ITV racing and plenty of chances to win a few quid off the enemy!

I want to get straight to it, and the 1.50pm at Newbury is the Group 3 Aston Park Stakes over 1m4f on soft ground.

An open event, but it might be the time for MY DREAM BOAT to win again.

He beat Found in soft ground at Ascot last year and the conditions provide a chance to bounce back to form.

The 2.20pm at Newbury is a Listed 6f event for 3yo, and I’m having a few quid on PRIVATE MATTER, who has to give 3lb away for Richard Fahey.

However, he’s a classy animal who stays strong on a surface like this. Ryan Moore is a bonus.

It’s the London Gold Cup at 2.55pm over 1m2f at Newbury, and the one to back each-way here is CENTURY DREAM, who is one of the few who will stay strong and love the conditions.

A high draw might not be an issue, either, as they may well swing wide or down the middle into the straight.

Finally at Newbury, the class event of the day is the Group 1 Lockinge at 3.30pm over 1m, and I’m all over RIBCHESTER, who is a class act and very capable in soft ground.

He also had a run in Dubai for Richard Fahey which should have him spot on for this even though it was a few weeks ago.

The ITV cameras are also at Newmarket, and the 2.05pm is a 1m2f Listed event for 3yo also on soft ground.

It’s a tough pick, but I’ll go with MAJORIS for Hugo Palmer. the blinkers first time may really help the colt and the form of his defeat by Permian at this track was given a boost in the Dante.

The 2.40pm at Newmarket is a 7f Listed contest, and here I like LARCHMONT LAD, who was nibbled at in the Craven before running in the 2,000 Guineas when he finished 9th behind Churchill. The drop in trip may well help for Richard Hannon’s runner.

ITV also show the 3.15pm at Newmarket, which is a 6f sprint handicap. Have a few quid each-way on ESPRIT DE CORPS, for the excellent Roger Charlton.

He won on firm at Bath, but previous all-weather form suggests cut will be all right and he stays well.

So best of luck on a cracking ITV Saturday and let’s hope for lots of Yeeehaaas. You Betcha!
