QUALITY wise it is not the best Saturday’s racing of all time, but there are plenty of betting opportunities on ITV3 this weekend and I’ll be at the main Newbury meeting.

Let’s get straight into it, and the 1.50pm at Newbury is a handicap over 7f. Remember the ground has eased.

I have a feeling EARLY MORNING may run well for Harry Dunlop at decent odds. The selection goes with juice and stays strong. An each-way hope.

Next up is a Listed event over 1m2f at 2.25pm, and I have to back MOUNT LOGAN each-way here.

He’s not quite been at his best this season, but conditions are perfect and the Roger Varian stable is in great form.

Roger Varian’s yard is in good form – which is good news for us with Mount Logan

It’s the Group 3 Hackwood over 6f at 3.00pm, and I will have a few quid each-way here on TUPI, who is not always easy to predict but will enjoy a bit of ease in the ground for Richard Hannon.

Certainly more than firm ground lover Magical Memory.

It’s the Super Sprint over 5f at 3.35pm, and I want to be with MAGGIES ANGEL, who was a good second in Listed company at Newmarket last time.

She stays strong and has a good effort on soft so conditions are not a problem.

The ITV cameras are also at Newmarket, where the 2.40pm is a Listed contest over 1m4f.

Again I’m each-way here on HIGH HOPES for Dave Simcock and Jamie Spencer. My hope steps up in distance and that might bring about more improvement.

Matt Chapman’s TV tips

1.50 Newbury – Early Morning

2.10 Market Rasen – Kapstadt

2.25 Newbury – Mount Logan

2.40 Newmarket – High Hopes

3.00 Newbury – Tupi

3.20 Market Rasen – Casino Markets

3.35 Newbury – Maggies Angel

Strangely in the middle of the Flat season there is a decent jumps card at Market Rasen, and a competitive Listed handicap hurdle at 2.10pm.

Back KAPSTADT for Ian Williams. My hope is fit from the Flat and capable of running well off 132.

Finally ITV show the Summer Plate over an extended 2m5f at 3.20pm. A tough race, but I’ll go with CASINO MARKETS for Emma Lavelle.

Highclere Thoroughbred Racing celebrate their 500th winner with plenty more to come

My hope is exposed off a mark of 137, but stays and jumps and should at least be bang there with two to jump under Leighton Aspell.

So best of luck on a Saturday where there is something for everyone. You Betcha. Yeeehaaa!
