WE get a little treat today from Sandown with four races live on ITV3, and after this column hit the jackpot last weekend I just can’t wait.
Napping Vicente in the Scottish National was one thing, but getting Banksea home in the Spring Cup was another. I’m still on a high.

So let’s see what we can do at Sandown.
The 1.50pm is the valuable Esher Cup over just about 1m, and the one I like is ATTY PERSSE, who is open to all sorts of improvement for Roger Charlton.
He’s a course and distance winner and has a fine draw to work from. Added to that the stable is in good form.
The 2.20pm is the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes over 1m2f, and have a few quid here on ULYSSES, who disappointed towards the end of last season but could just come of age this term.

1.50 Sandown – Atty Persse
2.20 Sandown – Ulysses
2.55 Sandown – Monarchs Glen
3.30 Sandown – Mondialiste
The one to be on is MONARCHS GLEN, who looked useful when scoring at Kempton for John Gosden last time. He has fitness on his side as well as ability.
Finally there’s a big Group 1 1m event at 3.30pm, and I’ll have a few quid each-way on MONDIALISTE, who needs to bounce back to his best for David O’Meara.
He was a bit disappointing at the end of last term. But he could just run well here.
So best of luck. And let’s hope for some more Yeeehaaas!
