Fans in the US left feeling short-changed after being charged triple figures for the bout as Showtime confirm delay
CONOR McGREGOR’S fight with Floyd Mayweather was DELAYED, because of problems with US pay-per-view services.
Both fighters were notified after being initially due to get into the ring around 4.15am British time.

Luckily for British fans there have been no problems with Sky’s coverage of the bout, with the satellite service’s pay-per-view costing fans £19.95.
But American supporters had been charged as much as $100 – or £77 – on Showtime with UFC Fight Pass also showing the event.
UFC tweeted: “[email protected] customers: Due to overwhelming traffic you may be experiencing log in issues. This will be resolved shortly.”
Some US fans were complaining on Twitter about not being able to tune in, with Badou Jack and Gervonta Davis’ fights getting underway before the main event.
And there was plenty to watch for British fight fans as well, but Nathan Cleverly would not have been pleased with his five-round pasting from Swede Jack.
A source told ESPN: “Due to the overwhelming demand, capacity of cable systems around the country are being overwhelmed.
“They are shutting down and rebooting some of these cable systems.”
One fan said: “Are others having problems getting Pay Per View for the Fight/we ordered several days ago / can’t get it / on hold on phone/this is ABSURD.”

Meanwhile another fan tweeted an obvious reason why the fight may have been delayed.
James Stewart tweeted: “Pay Per View issues… The truth is they’re trying to get more last minute buys.”
Boxing services had serious issues with Mayweather’s bout with Manny Pacquiao two years ago.
A Showtime statement said: “Due to high demand, we have reports of scattered outages from various cable and satellite providers and the online offering.
“We will delay the start of the main event slightly to allow for systems to get on track. We do not expect a lengthy delay.”
