Tens-of-thousands of fans were left unable to watch the Las Vegas showdown after outages and ordering issues
ANGRY viewers who ordered the Floyd Mayweather mega-fight against Conor McGregor are demanding their money back after pay-per-view problems.
Tens-of-thousands of fans were left unable to watch the Las Vegas showdown after outages and ordering issues.
The bout, which Mayweather won with a tenth-round TKO, was even delayed because of problems with PPV purchasing.
And users were left furious when the UFC Fight Pass stream went down, and continually buffered under the strain of people watching.
A lawsuit has even been filed in the US against channel Showtime for unlawful trade practices and unjust enrichment.
Zack Barter, of Portland, Oregon, is suing over the $99 stream which was plagued with “grainy video, error screens, buffer events, and stalls”.
He claims the network rushed its PPV service without securing the required Internet bandwidth to handle the strain of viewers.
A number of complains have been made to the channel already, and more are expected, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, thousands of fans are demanding their money back around the world after being unable to watch the fight.
Users took to Twitter to say they missed the biggest scrap in boxing history and struggled to see the undercard.
One said: “I have made a complain and want my money back, but I’ll never get the buzz of watching the fight now.”
Another added: “It is a complete and utter joke. I want a refund and I want them to issue and apology.”
And one fumed: “It’s not on. They couldn’t handle it and knew they wouldn’t be able to but kept selling the service.”
Mayweather won the fight after a dominating display which saw him announce his retirement in the ring.
He kept his distance in the early rounds, being watchful of the UFC kingpin’s power and precision shots.
But McGregor started to tire and the 50-0 legend turned up the gas, before a barrage of punches saw the referee step in.
